Brett Roy is a Republican candidate for election to the Warrick County Superior Court No. 2.

Mr. Roy is a life-long resident of Warrick Couty, Indiana. He earned his undergraduate degree in Legal Studies from the University of Evansville in 1997. In May of 2002, he earned his Juris Doctorate from the University of Dayton School of Law in Dayton, Ohio. After being sworn in on November 8, 2002, Brett began his career as an associate attorney at O’Leary and Associates in Oakland City, Indiana working in Civil Rights litigation. In 2005 Brett, with the assistance of his wife Abbigail, opened Roy Law Office, P.C. in Boonville Indiana As part of his private practice, Brett was also a contract public defender from 2006 through June of 2021. In June of 2021, Brett closed his private practice to become the Chief Deputy Public Defender for the newly formed Warrick County Public Defender’s Office.

Brett currently represents clients in criminal cases, children in need of services cases, juvenile delinquency cases and child support/contempt issues. In his private practice, Brett represented clients in criminal actions, civil property disputes, real estate transfers and disputes, domestic relations/family law cases, election contests, probate, incorporations, contract disputes and small claims disputes. He has also been appointed to represent individuals in need as a Guardian Ad Litem. Brett is a member of the Masonic Lodge, Lynnville Lodge No. 396 and the Warrick County Bar Association (he is currently the President of the Warrick County Bar Association).

Brett and his wife Abbigail have three sons and a granddaughter. Brett and Abbigail reside in Boonville, Indiana.
