Chad Bennett has served as Ohio Township Trustee since 2015. Chad is a very active member of the Ohio Township community, having earned the Newburgh Outstanding Citizen Award of the year from the Newburgh Town Council in 2002, 2005, 2009, and 2010. He has served as a member of the Ohio Township Advisor Board for 8 years and served as president of the board for 4 years. Chad Bennett is a retired member of the Newburgh Volunteer Fire Department with over 20 years of service and served as the assistant chief for his last 10 years.
A few of Chad's accomplishments include, the demolition and rebuild of the Ohio Township Fire Station on Plank Road; the design and build of the county disaster storage building; the sale and relocation of the Epworth Road station still under construction. Chad has forward thinking leadership with conservative taxpayers interest in mind.
