Richard Reid

Richard (Rick) Reid

County Commissioner

District 1

In 1974 I graduated from the IU School of Business. In 1992 I and my wife, Debbie, founded Richard Reid Appraisal Company in Newburgh. I served as a Commissioner 2013-2016. I voted against wasteful spending and spot zoning to protect property values. I was the only county servant who fought against the “Trash Mandate” to protect your rights. As a County Councilman the last 8 years, I have supported Local Income Tax paying for the support of Law Enforcement, School Resource Officers, and for Fire Equipment. I recently voted against paying attorney fees for Dan Saylor, Terry Phillippe, Bob Johnson and Marlon Weisheit who threatened to sue the County if the Council refused. The vote was 5-2 for reimbursing all 4 of them! I also denied the purchase of 2 robots for Solid waste which did not meet their expectations. I am Pro-life, Pro-gun, Pro-Law Enforcement and Pro-Constitution. I humbly ask for your vote.
