Sarah Seaton
Coroner
Warrick County
Sarah is a lifelong resident of Warrick County, currently living with her family in Newburgh. She is a graduate of Boonville High School and University of Southern Indiana, where she earned undergraduate and graduate degrees in Nursing. She is an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner at Deaconess Gateway and Midtown Hospitals. In addition to her full-time work in healthcare, Sarah has served as the Warrick County Coroner for the past 7 years. She became a Certified Medicolegal Death Investigator in 2013 and quickly put her skills to work to serve the residents of Warrick County. During her time in office, Sarah has established a close relationship between the Coroner’s Office and various community organizations including the Southwestern Indiana Suicide Prevention Coalition, Child Fatality Review Team, and the Bereavement team at The Women’s Hospital in an ongoing effort to assist these specialists in providing much needed resources to our community.
In her free time, Sarah enjoys spending time with her children Kyle (and his wife Sydney), Neal, and Leah. Understanding now more than ever the fragility of life, she strives to live her life in a way that honors those she has seen pass, both in her job as a nurse practitioner and the Coroner. She loves to spend time with nature, traveling and hiking throughout the country with her family and friends not taking a moment for granted. She encourages everyone to do the same.
Sarah looks forward to serving the residents of Warrick County in her final term and appreciates the support she has received.
